On Oct. 24 you might have gone to see the sophomore skit, a parody of the Disney Movie “Up”. In the sophomores’ portrayal, Carl, who was played by Emilio Ponce, and Russell, who was played by Justin Seelapasay, go to South America to fulfill Carl’s lifelong dream of discovering  Kevin the Spirit Bird, who was played by Steven Smith. But Carl and Russell run into a little trouble along the way because of American High School, which in this case replaced Muntz the villain from the original movie, who wants the Spirit Bird for themselves.

Some may wonder what led the sophomores to choose this theme. It all started when Josh Dalavai, Sophomore Class President, met with the rest of the 2014 representatives and discussed the possibilities for their skit. It took them a while, and they threw out a few ideas, but they finally decided on “Up”.

“We thought it would be a cute plot to do,” said Sophomore President Josh Dalavai, “I hope everyone enjoyed it!”
