The Santa Claws event, hosted by Petsmart, benefitted Furry Friends Rescue. Owners brought their pets on the weekend of Dec. 10 and 11 and dressed them up to take a picture with Santa. Money raised from the sale of these photographs went towards funding veterinary bills.

My birthday was back on December 8th, and I finally turned 18. I don’t know why I felt so excited to turn 18; so far nothing’s really changed in my life.
Yeah, I can now buy random stuff without parent consent, but I don’t get treated any differently. My parents aren’t giving me any more privileges, and I still have to ask them before I leave the house or tell them where I’m going. School doesn’t do or give me anything new like my older brother said they used to; you used to be able to sign yourself out of school whenever you wanted to.
I feel almost let down about being 18, and it just occurred to me that instead of going to juvenile hall if I got arrested, I’d go to real jail… Yeah, growing up doesn’t sound so great now haha. Soon I’ll have real responsibilities like getting a job and going to college, both of which I’m not too stoked on. I wish I could stay 17 forever. I just feel old now, but not old enough to do anything.
