The boys varsity volleyball team is heading into the post-season playoffs. With a 7-3 league record and a 16-7 overall record, the team finished off as one of the top three teams in the Mission Valley Athletic League (MVAL). They were on a two-game win streak prior to losing to Mission San Jose at the end of the season.

“We didn’t do as well as we hoped for, but we’re looking forward to playoffs and hopefully beat out our competition there,” outside hitter senior Tommy Fowler said.

The MVAL playoffs begin in mid-May. The team hopes to continue their home dominance. In the season, they have had nine wins and two losses, both in games played at Washington.

The 47 points scored during the season was good enough to finish in third place. They also were second in the league in defense by allowing only a mere 21 points on the year.

Despite the tough loss on Senior Night to Mission, the Huskies aim to bounce back and do well in the volleyball playoffs.
