On September 27, our boys’ water polo team played a season game against one of their rivals, James Logan High School. Both the JV and Varsity water polo teams won their games, 17-7 and 18-6 respectively. The game started out very close, but soon our water polo team lead at the half. As the game wore on, it was evident that Logan was tiring out. Senior Brady Knight said “the starting of the half was a pivotal moment, which was when our team started doing very well.” They started to play a zone defense, but this proved deadly as they couldn’t hold Washington’s sprint offense. Senior Noah McFerran described the second half of the game as exciting play.  All in all, both the JV and Varsity teams proved that they will have promising seasons and look forward to their first regular season game, which is on Oct. 1 against San Ramon High School.
