On Tuesday, October 12th, boys’ soccer had their first official, open field. Made up of mostly the freshmen and sophomores, the boys began to condition and get their kicks on the ball.
Coming back from a well fought season the Junior Varsity coach now looks at the new Freshmen and Sophomore players to see how his team will flow. “I see great talent in the freshmen and sophmores so it may or may not be a good season this year but 2 or 3 years more and they’ll be something,” says the hopeful Coach Saul.
The previous season was unexpecting and diificult which makes Coach Ruben wonder how his team will perform this year. This year there has been new as well as old arrivals at Washington High School. Coach Ruben expects a better season with high hopes as he says, “I expect a good season and my goal is to get to playoffs. For the majority of the team it will be their last year here and they’re ready to leave it all on the field.” The first pre-season game is November 12th, an early start for a hopeful season.
