Cheerleaders score a touchdown

Life as a cheerleader at Washington high school has not been easy. They have been cheering at all the Washington high school football games, home or away. They have been practicing for future tournaments and competitions. Sept. 26th, the girls went down to Santa Cruz to see if their practices have been paying off. In past years of this one day competition they have won it, six times to be exact. Well now you can add one more year to the total because they did it again. Holding the title for the past seven years, the cheerleaders have scored a touchdown in the cheer world.

“It is worth working hard in practice, as long as you come out on top. Especially, because it is my senior year and I want to go out with a big bang and win all the competitions we have on our schedule.” varsity squad captain and senior Shay Mozzetti said.

To make this dream a reality the cheerleaders have been practicing on a daily basis, memorizing multiple routines and cheers for contests and football games. Our cheerleading team is recognized nationally as one of the best and they tend to keep it that way this year with all the work and effort they have been putting in. I guarantee that every single husky will be cheering for them to win at every single competition they attend this year.
