After the end of the regular season and the MVAL playoffs, senior Jarod Nelson and junior Gerin Albelda continued on to the North Coast Section (NCS) playoffs to represent the golf team. The playoffs were held at Boundary Oaks golf course located in Walnut Creek on May 4.
To move on to the next round, players need to shoot a 75 or better. Albelda and Nelson were not able to advance to the second round. Albelda finished with a score of 79 and Nelson shot an 85 on the eighteen-hole course.
“They played really good but unfortunately we ran into a buzz saw and just weren’t able to move on to the next round which was played on May 11th. Even though they didn’t move on, they still finished the season very strong,” coach Wayne Young said.
