High school is tough. Regardless of what grade you are in or what level classes you take, you will confront obstacles. As it is, school is not easy, yet many of us choose to raise the intensity. Many students want to show the extent of their potential by balancing harder classes, sports and other activities.
I have learned through the past four years of high school that suffering is inevitable, but if you work hard enough, success will follow. I remember my Honors Biology teacher, Robert Raymond, explaining to us how you are either going to suffer studying before the test or when you receive a poor grade. From my experience, studying hard is much more pleasant than explaining to your parents why you failed the test. Studying may not be fun and exciting, but it’s worth it.
Asking for help is also fundamental to success in high school. If you don’t understand the material, ask someone, such as a teacher or classmate for help and advice. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it’s sign of confidence. It shows you care about your success.
High school is not an easy feat to conquer. Not every day or test score will be perfect. But good study habits and stay motivated even when you face challenges, you will do well. It isn’t always about being the best; it’s about doing your best.
