Annoying pet peeves that grind on your gears
.
By Ryan Reynolds
Everyone has pet peeves that annoy them. I’m just going to let you know about a few of mine. And hey, maybe you can relate.
You are walking to get in line at the supermarket to buy one item, be it chips or a bottle of soda and someone with a full cart rushes into line just ahead of you in an attempt to leave the store faster. Those are the people I really despise. It is going to take you all of 15 seconds max to pay and they jump in front of you to save themselves a worthless amount of time while they make you wait 10 minutes while they inquire about sales and coupons while you are late going somewhere because you figured, “How long can it possibly take to buy one item?”
Another thing that really grinds my gears is those people who park so close to the spot next to them that no one could possibly park in that spot. It is perfectly legal, but perfectly inconsiderate. Parking lots are often more crowded than the subway. If someone parks like that anywhere to the point where no car can fit in the next space over, they should just be towed. Double parking is illegal and I do not see why this is any different. And if someone drives a Hummer, your car is huge so you should find an equally huge spot to park it in; there is no excuse for double parking in a “compact” space: they are labeled as such for a reason. And if you really just have that much trouble parking, maybe you shouldn’t drive because it’s not getting any easier.
It isn’t that I hate people; I just hate the selfish nature that we all have at some time or another. If you could just stop to think about making someone else’s life a little bit easier once a day, we would all be in a much better place.
