What lies ahead

A light tunnel.

It’s crazy to think about how quickly this school year’s gone by. We just got back from our last winter break and the feeling is just starting to hit me; high school’s almost over and soon we’ll all be off to bigger and better things. I have to say that the one thing you should learn early on in high school, and in life, is to have a good balance of fun with friends and responsibility with work. And although it’s senior year, we still have finals, and now is no time to start getting a heavy case of senioritis (though a little is just fine with me). I’ve always sort of felt like I had it-or maybe it’s just a mixture of procrastination and boredom; but as much as I put it off, I know what it is that I have to do and get it done in time. It’s all about knowing yourself and doing what’s best for you.

I’m super excited for what’s to come after graduation. I have some plans in mind, but nothing has been set in stone. I hope someday I’m able to find a job that takes me around the world. I love to travel and see different cultures and experience the thrill of adventure. Though this may not be very practical, I will never think it as impossible, and hope that one day I can put all my hard work into something I love to do.
