by Brynna Evans

Junior Naser Mohabbat is a multi-talented guitarist and song writer. He has been performing for eight years now, in performances including the talent show and the juniors’ spirit skit.

“I’m all self-taught for the last eight years and counting,” Mohabbat said.

His musical talents include guitar, drums, and bass. His favorite genres include electronica, rave, drum and bass music, underground hip-hop, and death metal.

If you listen to his songs closely there are hints of the bands Scary Kids Scaring Kids and The Fall of Troy. He hears what he likes out of other songs and groups and tries to incorporate them into his own creations.

The songs he listens to help him with his beats, timing and drumbeats. Electronica, two-step and hardcore beats are the most inspiring for his songs. He has been working hard on writing and producing music not just about personal things, but life in general.

“I write out of feel and soul, it just comes from my head. I’m not really consciously trying to put things down,” Mohabbat said.

Currently he is trying to get a band together. He is hoping that he will be able to find one and play for bigger audiences. To hear his solo and collaborative music check out www.myspace.com/sfoxsky.
