Senior Asad Rathore has been acting for three years. Before Washington, Rathore attended Parkway South High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he first began acting. He participated in two years of drama classes at Parkway South before moving to Fremont in 2007.

“I was in Drama 1 when Mr. Ballin asked me to do a part in a play,” Rathore said.

Drama teacher Matthew Ballin gave Rathore the part of Spear Chucker Jones in the 2008 spring play, M*A*S*H. Ever since receiving this part, the name Spear Chucker Jones has become Rathore’s nickname among his friends. After M*A*S*H, Rathore played the part of The Executioner in Lewis Carroll’s play, Alice in Wonderland.

“When I am in actual character, I imagine what the character would do in the situation and what happened in his life that made him the way he is,” Rathore said.

Besides acting, he enjoys writing short stories such as Sci-fi and fantasy.

Rathore doesn’t see acting as a future career, but finds it to be something that is fun to do.
